Thanks Jeff — just seeing this now. Another possible solution is consortia based standards. Since pretty much everyone needs a few basic patterns — like css columns, why not find those people and agree on some standard names? We’ve got similar functionality in Bootstrap, Pure.CSS, WordPress, Material Design and now I see there is w3.css. Which locks you in unless you’re ready for a major refactor.
